RUSSIAN RIDGE HIKE
Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve Parking Lot is on the northwest corner of Skyline Boulevard and Page Mill Road/Alpine Road. We'll meet in the parking lot, near the restroom.

Last year, we saw lots of beautiful flowers on this hike, so hopefully, we'll get to see lots of colors.

On a clear day, we'll also be able to see the ocean, all the way to Marin County, and most of the Peninsula/East Bay. The plan is to descend first into the oak trees, then ascend back up to the Ridge Trail, and finally to Borel Hill for the best views.

Directions to the parking lot: For GPS, use Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve Parking Lot. Using Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve will yield a different and WRONG answer!!!

In general, there are multiple routes from 280 to get to Skyline Boulevard and Russian Ridge.

From Page Mill Road, go through the intersection at CA-35 (Page Mill Road turns into Alpine Road) and the parking lot is within a few yards on the right

From CA-35, at Page Mill Road/Alpine Road (watch for signs for Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve Parking) turn towards the ocean (from South, turn left; from North, turn right), and the parking lot is within a few yards on the right.

Parking can be tight so carpooling is suggested.

Don't forget layers, sunscreen, water, and snacks for the trail as well as binoculars/camera!
