San Francisco Alumni Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve Hike

San Francisco Alumni Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve Hike

Join fellow Oberlin alumni for an early summer hike at Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve.

The afternoon hike (roughly 2 hours) takes place in the woods of Rancho San Antonio. We'll be doing the Wildcat Loop, approximately 4.6 miles with 600 feet of elevation.

Meet at the main lot (Lot 1, near the restrooms): after you come in the exit off of Cristo Rey Drive, make a right at the first fork and proceed to the last parking lot.

After the hike, there are many options in Mountain View/Cupertino/Los Altos for coffee/eats.

Don't forget layers, sunscreen, water, and snacks for the tour as well as binoculars/camera!

Getting there:
Digital: GPS to Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve (or 22500 Cristo Rey Drive, Cupertino, CA). Rancho is near the confluence of 280, 85, and Foothill Expressway.

Heavy Rain Cancels Event: If there is inclement weather, please call or text trail leader one hour ahead of the hike for the status.

Trail Leader: Ed Milner '79. Cell phone (415) 260-2458. Ed will be wearing either a red Oberlin sweatshirt/shirt, or a red Oberlin baseball cap. Call or text with questions, late arrival issues, etc.
