We are excited to announce that The Oberlin Review will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in April of 2024. As part of its legacy, we want you to come celebrate with current students of the Review in a full day of on-campus events on Saturday, April 13th, 2024. Events will include a student Q&A session, a panel with special alumni speakers, and an evening gala held in the Oberlin Hotel. Talk journalism and the Review Style Guide with current students, interact with the Review’s archives in a special edition newspaper and exhibit, laugh at old photos and quotes on the walls of the Burton Hall basement office, and reunite with friends.

Saturday's activities include...
- Student Q&A Session: The State of Journalism at Oberlin | 10-11 AM | Dye Lecture Hall
- Hear from the students who participated in the winter term project to create the special 150th anniversary edition of the Oberlin Review! This presentation will be followed by a Q&A-style panel for returning alum to learn more about what it's like to write for the Review in 2024. Student speakers include, Nikki Keating and Delaney Fox, Editors-in-Chief; Lucy Curtis, Arts Editor; James Foster, Sports Editor; Erin Koo, Layout Editor; Hazel Feldstein, Journalism Integrative Concentration Representative. Moderated by Kushagra Kar '23.
- Careers in Journalism Networking Luncheon | 12PM
- Alumni are encouraged to join members of the Review staff and students of journalism for a networking lunch.
- Library Exhibit and Archives Tour | 1-3 PM | Mudd Library
- Our campus archivist has set up a special exhibit just for this occasion!
- Journalism Career Panel | 3-4:30 PM | Dye Lecture Hall
- Featuring Peter Baker '88, Sonia Shah '90, and Emily Nussbaum '88. Moderated by Annie Zaleski, editor of the Oberlin Alumni Magazine. Bios for each speaker will be posted closer to the event. Check back soon!

- Join us for a celebratory gala following the professional panel. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be provided! No dress code.
Wilder 212 will be reserved from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday, April 12 for alumni arriving to campus. Light snack and drinks will be available. An alumni-organized informal storytelling event will take place in this space on Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Back to the Classroom
Alumni visitors who are arriving on Friday have the opportunity to get back in the classroom by sitting in on a real Oberlin class! Make your first stop on campus Wilder 212 to check out the list of classes open to attend that day. Those arriving prior to Friday who may like to attend a class before 11am can send an email to wmiller2@oberlin.edu to receive the class list.
The Review Anniversary is happening simultaneously with the college's All Roads Lead to Oberlin initiative for prospective students, so you may have a prospective student or two sitting in on class with you, enjoy!
