An Afternoon of Rejuvenation: A Performance of The DC Concert Orchestra
Featuring Pianist Daniel Wasse ’88

Program and Ticket Information

Experience a powerful season finale with the DC Concert Orchestra as it presents Rejuvenation, the final performance in its Metamorphosis series exploring the evolution of classical music and the composers behind it. At the heart of the program is Daniel Wasse, pianist and Oberlin Conservatory graduate, performing Sergei Prokofiev’s Concerto for Piano in D-flat Major, Op. 10.

The program also showcases:
* Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin du printemps, a radiant and impressionistic celebration of spring
* Scheherazade by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, a masterwork of orchestral storytelling and color

The DC Concert Orchestra (DCCO) is one of the premier community orchestras in the Washington, DC area. As part of the DC Concert Orchestra Society—founded by Bob Myers ’80—DCCO offers high-level performance opportunities to advanced, avocational musicians, as well as a vibrant chamber music community.

Daniel Wasse ’88 earned a BM in Piano Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He performs and has taught classical piano for over 25 years. He also serves as an officer of the DC Oberlin Club and in this role has hosted Zoom and in-person events.
