Join us for this annual tradition, as we celebrate all Oberlin alumni (including this year’s graduates), current and incoming students and their families for an informal summer picnic hosted by Victoria Taub ’85, and David Bacon ’85.
The Oberlin Summer Picnics are an annual tradition where incoming students and their parents meet other students, parents, and alumni for an informal picnic over the summer.
PICNIC DETAILS:
Pulled pork and brisket (all gluten free) as well as some vegan and vegetarian sandwiches and salads will be provided by the hosts. Bring your own beverage if you would like something other than iced tea or water.
The rest of the offerings will be served in potluck style. By last name, please bring the following:
A-H: appetizers/munchies
I-P: sides/salads
Q-Z: desserts
There are plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy, including two screened-in porches, a patio, and nineteen acres of woods and meadow.
Kids are always welcome and there will be lawn games for young and old. If you bring your own pole, you can fish in the pond (adult supervision required for all children).
PARKING:
There are plenty of parking areas along the driveway. Please contact Victoria at (919) 632-5905 or vtaub@mac.com if you require handicap parking so that she can reserve a parking spot for you right outside the garage. The home and outdoor areas are completely handicap accessible.
To help us manage our event, please register if you plan to attend. Contact alumni@oberlin.edu with questions.
