“An Afternoon at the NGA: Alumni & Winter Term Student Meetup”
Join us for a relaxed and playful afternoon at the National Gallery of Art, where Obies and friends can meet current Winter Term students interning in DC. Enjoy a low-pressure museum scavenger hunt while exploring the galleries at an easy pace. Along the way, we’ll snap fun photos, share Oberlin memories, and see the museum through each other’s eyes. No art expertise required – just curiosity and a willingness to have fun. Come solo or with friends, wear comfortable shoes, and get ready for an afternoon of creativity and conversation.
We’ll meet at 2:00pm in the National Gallery of Art’s West Building Rotunda by the Mercury Fountain (6th Street & Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC). Admission to the museum is free and does not require advance tickets; note that backpacks must be worn on one shoulder. Metro is the easiest way to get there – the closest stop is Archives–Navy Memorial–Penn Quarter (Green/Yellow lines), just a short walk to the West Building, with Federal Triangle and Smithsonian (Blue/Orange/Silver lines) also nearby.
