An In-Person Obie Gathering
Join the Oberlin Club of Washington, D.C. for a Trip to Dumbarton Oaks Museum & Gardens followed by a Happy Hour in Georgetown! Dumbarton Oaks is a research institute, library, museum, and garden run by Harvard University. The museum houses world-class collections of Byzantine and Pre-Columbian art, as well as a historic garden.
We’ll meet at 3pm at the front entrance to Dumbarton Oaks Gardens (31st and, R St NW, Washington, DC 20007) and proceed to walk through the grounds and the museum. Afterwards, we will walk to the nearby Fountain Inn in Georgetown for an optional Happy Hour.
The following buses will take you to Dumbarton Oaks: C91, D94, and D96 and D80. The closest metro stops (Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom) are about a 30-minute walk from the meeting spot, and there is a two-hour limit on street parking on Saturdays.
