Join fellow Obies for a docent-led tour of the Manet and Morisot Exhibition hosted by Ed Milner '79 at the Legion of Honor.
Afterwards, we will meet in the museum cafe. Others may wish to continue touring the rest of the Legion of Honor. The price of the ticket to the Manet & Morisot tour includes admission at LOH for the rest of the day.
Oberlin's Office of Alumni Engagement has kindly agreed to pay the docent fee, and attendees are asked to pay for their individual tickets (or use their membership privileges).
This is the first major exhibition dedicated to the artistic exchange between French Impressionists Édouard Manet (1832–1883) and Berthe Morisot (1841–1895). Manet was the era’s great pioneer of modern painting, and Morisot, the only woman to exhibit under her own name in the original Impressionist group. Unfolding over a period of 15 years (1868–1883), this exhibition traces the evolution of a friendship between two groundbreaking artists.
