"The Art of Women: A Celebration of International Women's Month"
An In-person Tour of Selected Works in the Sackler Gallery
Led by Docent Karen Buck Burgess '72
Karen Buck Burgess ’72, a docent at the NMAA, will help Obies commemorate International Women’s Month by leading a tour that will focus on “The Art of Women.” Karen has selected for our consideration pieces in the gallery depicting women or made by women encompassing ancient and modern eras, portrayals of demons and goddesses, and musings on the human and the divine. After the tour, you can catch up with fellow tour travelers by taking a break for coffee or a light lunch at The Moongate Cafe, a new dining spot in the museum.
Space is limited. Please sign up only if you are likely to attend.
Karen Buck Burgess ’72 majored in History at Oberlin. Prior to retirement, she had a career in law and resided and worked in Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Tokyo. She has been a volunteer docent at the museum for the last seven years.
