A Staged Reading of Pigeon Project
Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 3:30 p.m. | Berkeley

Join us for the staged reading of a play written by Jamie Greenblatt ’78, with cello performed by Susanna Porte ’93.

Grieving the death of his mother, twelve-year-old Bernard moved to South Berkeley and is warmly welcomed by a community of African American youngsters he finds raising and training trick pigeons. Will Bernard’s new-found friends and their special birds keep them safe when crack cocaine comes to South Berkeley?

Directed by Norman Gee and presented in Association with Oakland Public Theater.
